📢 Announcement: Macros Now Available in Help Desk

HubSpot's Help Desk Macros are a powerful new efficiency tool that combines prewritten responses with ticket-based workflows.

With a single selection in the reply editor, agents can instantly send a message while simultaneously triggering backend actions like updating ticket status or reassigning ownership.

This automation drastically reduces manual effort for repetitive inquiries, ensuring consistent service and allowing support teams to focus on more complex customer needs

Tip

Quick fix for a common HubSpot headache.

Property Change Events
If you’re like me, you have already made workflows that mimic the functionality of this underrated feature. I found it recently, and I’m not sure how long it has been around. It allows you to create settings-based automations that trigger on a property’s changes.

These automations can look for any change, or use a “contains” filter to only track the property values you care about. This setting will turn that property change into an event that can be used in workflows, journeys, reporting, and more.

⚠️ Trap

Mistake to avoid before it causes chaos.

Use Smart Properties to Pre-Sort Spam
If you have a company “info@” or “Contact@” email address that is hooked up to service hub, it’s likely that you get a lot of spam tickets. Hubspot has a built in spam filter, and a deny list, but often, these email are not obvious enough for the filter to be very powerful.

If you aren’t already using credits for something more critical, I recommend using a smart property to populate tickets with a “likely spam” checkbox. You’ll need to run the property through a contact and make a corresponding synced property on tickets.

This will also work for form submissions, and you will just populate the contact as “likely spam”. Remember to grab some actual confirmed spam from your previous form submissions or tickets to give the smart property prompt some training data.

🔄 Try

Something small to test or improve this week.

Center Column Custom Cards in Record Views
This is one of those UI unlocks that can be a huge gamechanger for admins, especially when you have team views, or complex record view needs.

Unlike the left-side column cards, which are limited to property groups, these center column cards can pull reports, progress trackers, or associated object data into the center column of a record.
