Tip: Customize Your Record Views
✉️ Spotter – Your Weekly HubSpot Helper
This week, we’re clearing out the clutter, avoiding a common mistake, and giving you one quick thing to try in your portal. Let’s dive in.
✅ Tip
Quick fix for a common HubSpot headache.
Customize Your Record Views with Team Views
The default gear icon view customization only applies to you. For more flexibility, create a new team, add yourself, and build a custom team view for object records. This lets you change cards, reorder, or add new ones without affecting coworkers.

Customize Your view with the “actions” on the left. Make a team view using “customize record” in the center.
⚠️ Trap
Mistake to avoid before it causes chaos.
Always Check for Unenrollment Criteria
When building workflows with delays that change object stages, be careful - manual stage changes during a delay can be overridden when the workflow completes.
Always add unenrollment criteria so objects manually moved to a different stage exit the workflow automatically.

This is honestly one of the more confusing things to set up in the workflows tool.

🔄 Try
Something small to test or improve this week.
Make Some Tailored Index Views
Help teams focus by creating saved views tailored to specific roles.
These views can be in any index (contacts, deals, companies, etc.)
Build one new saved view this week, like “Deals closing this month” or “No activity in 30+ days”. Name it clearly, share it, and pin it for visibility to reduce CRM overwhelm.

Use the “Add view” Button to make a new view. Use the filters to customize it. Make sure to save it!
