Try: The Social Listening Tool

📢Announcement: Introducing the HubSpot Guide Creator Chrome Extension

HubSpot has just introduced a game-changing tool for anyone looking to document their organization’s processes for SOPs and training.

The Guide Creator.

This chrome extension will take a screenshot and indicate where you are clicking so you can just go through whatever task you wanted to instruct on, and the guide creator will make an easy-to-follow guide.

Tip

Quick fix for a common HubSpot headache.

Cut Down on Context Switching with Task Queues
If you work in sales, business development, or customer success, one of the low-key best tools in Hubspot is the task system. When you open up a queue, you can start using it to work through any task you have to do in HubSpot, without needing to click out of the tool you need. It will take you to the contact, company, or deal for each task. When you’re done with that task, you can go to the next one using the task interface that appears on the top of your screen.

⚠️ Trap

Mistake to avoid before it causes chaos.

Using Lifecycle Stages as Sales Status
This is one of the most common missteps. Lifecycle stages are meant to reflect where a contact is in the funnel—not what your sales team is currently doing. Using them to show sales activity (like “in sequence” or “needs follow-up”) breaks your ability to report cleanly on marketing-qualified vs sales-qualified stages. Use a separate status field or the Lead object instead.

🔄 Try

Something small to test or improve this week.

Social Listening
This is a relatively new tool within HubSpot’s social suite: Social listening. Set up feeds that accrue your brand’s @ mentions or keywords you want to keep track of on X, Linkedin, Facebook, or Instagram. Comment on any relevant posts from right within HubSpot.
