Workflow Enrollment Buttons

PLUS: Avoid Messy Text Properties, Try the Google Drive Integration

✉️ Spotter – Your Weekly HubSpot Helper

📢 Announcement: Leads Can Now Be Toggled Off & Renamed

This may not seem that huge, but for orgs with terminology issues and salesforce integrations, this could be a game changer.

The lead object can now be renamed or toggled off. So if you’re confused about contact lead statuses, salesforce leads that become contacts, or your sales team insisting on calling pre-deals attached to contacts “prospects” this update is for you.

Tip

Quick fix for a common HubSpot headache.

Workflow Enrollment Buttons in Right-Side Column of Records
Sometimes when you’re automating processes in HubSpot, there is human input that you can’t build an automatic trigger for. Many HubSpot pros will set up certain properties to be changed by a user to trigger a workflow.

This feature is basically an easier, more user-friendly version of that. By adding a workflow button to a record, you can manually enroll that record in a workflow. It’s manual enrollment made easy. Below is where you find it.

⚠️ Trap

Mistake to avoid before it causes chaos.

Avoid Messy Text Properties
A lot of messy data in HubSpot starts because of text fields that don’t follow the rules. You may have an internal document for those rules, but HubSpot also allows you to build these into the property. Make extra spaces, capital letters, and unique values required, or not. You can even build custom logic for these write-in properties.

🔄 Try

Something small to test or improve this week.

Link to Google Drive Files
This is a new one coming soon to all accounts. Records can now have google drive links as properties. This gives Breeze the ability to make document overviews, and makes the files viewable in HubSpot.
